Nokia Lumia 830 leaks - TrustedReviews

A new smartphone purporting to be the Nokia Lumia 830 has been leaked onto the internet.

Images of the Nokia Lumia 830 have been published on Chinese website WPdang (via Unwired View). They appear to show a device that fits in closely with the recent Nokia Lumia Windows Phone 8 range in terms of design - particularly the Nokia Lumia 820.

Indeed, according to the website's "spy network," the "design difference is not large" between the two phones.

The report claims that despite the Nokia Lumia 830 being numbered higher than the Nokia Lumia 820, it's actually a replacement of sorts for the Nokia Lumia 710. The Nokia Lumia 710, lest you forget, was Nokia's first affordable Windows Phone 7.5 device, which sported some smartly chosen components.

While the camera, display and general build weren't of as high a quality as the then-flagship Nokia Lumia 800, it was actually very similar in most of the areas that counted - including processor speed and screen resolution.

Hopefully the Nokia Lumia 830 will prove to be closer to the Nokia Lumia 920 in spec, particularly when it comes to screen resolution. Also, we have to hope that the Nokia Lumia 830 doesn't follow the Nokia Lumia 710's short lifespan - it was practically discontinued within a year following the arrival of the cheaper (and markedly inferior) Nokia Lumia 610.

There's no confirmation of the Nokia Lumia 830's specifications as yet, but from these images we do expect it to come in five fetching colours.
