Sometimes it's hard being on Android, because lots of popular apps start on iOS first. This week Google's platform got some love with some big titles—a powerful photo editor and a homemade goods market—making their way across the OS fence. Those and more made it into this round of the Android apps of the week.

Snapseed: The stupid simple photo editor gives you powerful tools you can use on your smartphone, as well as the more basic ones. And you don't even have to be an expert to use them. Free

Etsy: Whether you're looking for a vintage leather knapsack or five-pound bag of homemade caramels, you can probably find it on Etsy. And now you can do your search from your Android phone. Free

This Is Not an App: This is crazy. It really isn't what you'd expect from a mobile app, and it gives you a series of prompts and drawing tools to turn it into whatever you want—a game, a reminder tool, a book, and more. You have to download it to figure it out because it really is what you make it. £3

Word Tag: Do you ever play Scattergories? Word Tag is the same concept, but instead of a time limit, you only have 120 characters to use to help another player guess the word. Free
