Kindle Fire Sales Boost Amazon Appstore Downloads By 500% - Tablet PC Lab

Retail giant Amazon has been enjoying huge success with its Kindle Fire tablets, which have been flying off the shelves. This is not only good news in terms of the high level of sales being achieved on the tablets themselves, but is also having a positive impact on downloads from the Amazon Appstore.

Figures show that the number of Amazon Appstore downloads has been increasing in line with the increasing sales of the popular Kindle tablets. Over the past year, Amazon Appstore downloads have increased by a staggering 500 percent according to a recent statement made by Amazon officials. Experts have said that it is no coincidence that downloads have increased by such a huge amount during the same period that the Amazon Kindle Fire tablets have been gaining popularity.

The increase in the sales of Amazon tablets has been one of the main driving forces behind the increase in the number of Amazon Appstore downloads. Owners of Amazon Kindle Fire tablets are restricted in terms of where they download apps from, as they cannot do this via Google Play even though the devices are Android-based. This has further helped to drive Amazon Appstore downloads.

Many believe that the retail giant will be able to continue seeing its download numbers increase for the foreseeable future as a result of the increased number of Kindle Fire tablet sales over the recent Black Friday and Cyber Monday weekend, where special deals helped to further boost the sales of the devices. Last month saw the Amazon Kindle enjoy its best week on record, with the Kindle HD Fire said to have become the top gifted item across the whole of the online store.
