Android 4.3 Jelly Bean Update: Leaked Release Schedule For US Samsung ... - International Business Times

The guys at Android Police were tipped to what may be the roll out schedule for Android 4.3 Jelly Bean on the Samsung Galaxy S4, Galaxy S4 Active, Galaxy S3 and Galaxy Note 2 for four of the major U.S. carriers: Verizon, AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile. According to the schedule, the Samsung Galaxy devices will begin updating as early as next week, with the Verizon Galaxy S4 set to roll out Android 4.3 on Monday. Next is apparently the Sprint Galaxy S4 followed by the Sprint Galaxy S3. The AT&T Galaxy S4 Active would be the last to update as per the schedule, though it is the only carrier that has an Android 4.3 roll out date listed for the S4 Active.

There is no way to confirm this Android 4.3 Jelly Bean roll out schedule, which was submitted by an anonymous tipster; however, Samsung does appear committed to outfitting as many of its popular Galaxy devices with the latest software as possible. Currently the GT-I9505 and GT-I9500 international models of the Samsung Galaxy S4 have updated to Android 4.3 Jelly Bean in select countries, as was promised by the Korean manufacturer during the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 launch. More countries appear to receiving the update daily. Several other international mobile networks, including Australian carrier Telstra and French carrier SFR have announced that the Galaxy S3 and Galaxy Note 2 will update to Android 4.3 between November and December.

The Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update will include such features as Samsung KNOX, Smart Switch, HomeSync, and Group Play 2.5, Samsung has announced. From the Android 4.3 update that has already rolled out onto Galaxy S4 models, we know the software includes Samsung Galaxy Gear support, and Samsung Wallet is now a standard feature. The update also brings various performance improvements, including a faster and smoother TouchWiz UI, improved graphics and multimedia, and updated Bluetooth. Other features updated in Android 4.3 are the Samsung Keyboard, Samsung Browser, Read Mode and the Camera UI. Minor Android 4.3 fixes include tweaks to the Contacts app, Flashlight Widget and dialog boxes.
