Apple have just released two new iPhones, and still the rumour mill is not satisfied, moving on to speculating about the iPad mini 2.
Experts have said that there could be new iPads released as soon as next month.
Apple's has yet to confirm the date of its upcoming reveal, but analysts and leaks seem convinced October 15 is correct.
This rumour has a ring of truth to it, as the current iPad mini came out in November, and Apple usually sticks to past product update dates.
Retailers in America have been cutting the prices of the current iPads by about 30 per cent, implying that they are making way for a newer model.
Tim Cook, Apple CEO, hinted at the iPhone launch that we would be seeing new Apple products in the final quarter of 2013: "Our teams are hard at work on some amazing new hardware, software and services that we can't wait to introduce this fall and throughout 2014."
Apple will definitely want to release any new iPads in the run up to Christmas.
All other details and rumours, however, seem to contradict and conflict with each other. We've rounded up the top rumours and essential information that you need to know about the next iPad mini.
Like the first iPad mini, it will be 7.9 inches.
There are two conflicting rumours - one is that Apple have slimmed down the casing, making the new iPad mini slimmer and lighter.
Others, however, say that the casing will have gained weight and thickness because Apple are cramming in high-definition Retina display.
Talking about images leaked in February, CNET said: "The iPad gained a little extra girth when Apple upgraded it to a Retina display, so a thicker casing in these alleged iPad mini 2 shots seem to point to some Retina presence in this model."
If there is a Retina display it will doubling the current iPad mini's 1,024 x 798 screen to 2,048 x 1,536 pixels.
The images also abandoned Apple's traditional black logo, turning it the same bright blue colour as the new iPhone 5C. Is it possible that we will be seeing coloured iPad minis?
Another image this week was leaked, suggesting that the new iPad mini will be coming in the same space grey colour as the iPhone 5S. Will there be a matching champagne gold version?
Most sources agree that the iPad mini 2 will have the same 64-bit A7 chipset and M7 coprocessor as the new iPhone 5S, along with increased storage of up to 128GB.
One report says that the rear camera will be increased to 8MP, although others only say 5MP.
Some have suggested that Apple will be releasing two new iPad minis: a iPad mini S with increased power, but no change in resolution, and an iPad mini 2 with a Retina display.
Either way, it is expected that the price will remain the same as the current iPad mini - starting from £239.
