Apple iPad mini and Google Nexus 7 review - Product Reviews

It wouldn't be a problem to find an in-depth Google Nexus 7 review although the same cannot be said for the Apple iPad mini, which the majority of articles and videos feature a hands-on review after having a short time to play with Apple's new smaller tablet. When the iPad mini release date arrives we'll be one of the first websites with an in-depth review, we order like most other people when it comes to Apple, but for now we wanted to give our readers a visual look at the iPad mini from a hands-on review perspective and this can be compared to the Google Nexus 7 reviews that are much more detailed.

Apple iPad mini and Google Nexus 7 review

If we go back just a couple of weeks we pretty much knew the iPad mini name, although this has since been confirmed by Apple with full specs and insight into the features contained on the new iPad mini. This allows us to understand the main differences between the Google Nexus 7 and Apple iPad mini, especially from a visual and price point of view.

Hands-on with the iPad mini and Nexus 7 – we've embedded a hands-on iPad mini review below in the first video, which details the main specifications and gives you a visual look at how the tablet looks in hand. The second video is the official iPad mini commercial that gives you some insight from Apple's perspective, and certainly tells the reasons why Apple thinks it's the best tablet at the $329 plus price range.

The third video delivers a Google Nexus 7 review that runs for just under 16 minutes, and gives you an idea as to what makes this Android tablet so good. We've also included a fourth video with another Nexus 7 review for a different perspective. We added another video after the reviews that gets hands-on with Android 4.1.2 on the Nexus 7, which is an update that launched recently.

Apple iPad mini vs. Google Nexus 7? Now that we have seen both of these tablets officially revealed, do you have a preference? Keep connected to PR for our full iPad mini review after the official release date early next month, so for now see these 7-inch and 7.9-inch tablets compared visually below.
