iPhone 5S release to see NFC and '6-8 colours' feature - TrustedReviews

New Apple iPhone 5S rumours have suggested that the iPhone 5 follow-on will launch in June 2013 with a selection of new colour schemes available.

An incremental update more than a radical redesign, latest reports have suggested that an iPhone 5S release date will be held in June of next year, just nine months after the iPhone 5 launch with the next-gen Apple handset to boast a selection of new hardware features, including an improved camera and integrated NFC technologies.

Far from the first time the eagerly awaited iPhone 5S release date has been tipped to take place ahead of Apple's usual one year product cycle, new reports, which come courtesy of Jefferies analyst Peter Misek and have been reported by Business Insider, suggest that Apple will also step away from its current black and white handset options, releasing a selection of iPhone 5S colours much like the recent iPod Touch 2012.

Seeming set to undergo the same colour treatment to its brushed aluminium rear as the latest iPod offering with a reported "6-8 colours" to be made available, Misek has predicted that the iPhone 5S specs sheet will see a new "super HD camera/screen, a better battery, and NFC" all thrown into the mix.

Apple iPhone 5S Rumours
Adding traction to reports that the iPhone 6 is going to be the next Apple handset to feature a radical redesign, the first claimed iPhone 5S pictures hit the web last week with the iPhone 5 replacement tipped to feature a near identical shell with just a few minor adjustments based around internal screws the only difference.

With previous iPhone 5S rumours suggesting Apple will fill the device with features it had hoped to incorporate within the iPhone 5 but did not have time to do, Chinese new sources last month claimed the handset would be released in "Q1 2013."

Reports claimed that with the company "facing low yield rates in the production of iPhone 5, Apple has accelerated the certification process for related parts and components for the iPhone 5S."
