A Texas man found himself the victim of an extraordinary theft when a UPS delivery man stole the iPad Mini delivered to his doorstep earlier that day by a FedEx employee.
Al Alverson from Houston, Texas had ordered the coveted new Apple tablet for his daughter as a Christmas gift and had been expecting to find the package when he returned home.
Wondering where it could be since he had a confirmation of delivery email from FedEx, Mr Alverson checked the surveillance camera installed outside his front door.

Honest: A Fedex man drops off an iPad Mini at Al Alverson's front door in Houston in the morning...
Guilty:... A UPS driver dropping off another package later in the day, picks up the iPad Mini package and after looking at the label, leaves with it
'It said it was delivered at 9:29 a.m.,' Al Alverson said of the email from FedEx. 'So I go up and I have a DVR with all the cameras on it to take a look.'
Much to their astonishment, Mr Alverson and his wife Sandra watched as the deliveryman from FedEx dropped off the iPad at exactly the time confirmed by the email.
Tut tut: The UPS driver seen dropping off the second package on the right
Giving into temptation: He then considers the package to his left, delivered earlier by FedEx and containing the iPad Mini
Lapse: The UPS worker leaves the two packages for two minutes after ringing the door bell
On second thoughts: He returns when no one answers the bell, checks the package and steals it
Continuing their search through the surveillance footage, at 1.15pm a UPS man was captured arriving at the door with another parcel.
Coveted: The iPad Mini was replaced by UPS and the thief arrested
But after two minutes the same man returns, picks up the iPad Mini, considers the label and then walks away with the package.
'I said, "oh my god," it is the UPS guy,' Mr Alverson told KHou 11 News.
He explained that since the incident UPS had been slow to respond and unwilling to resolve the issue.
That is, until he posted the video from his CCTV camera on YouTube for all to see.
'I got a call this morning and they were very helpful. They promised they would get me a replacement iPad today,' he said and confirmed that had kept their word.
UPS told the local station that they had identified the employee in question who was described as a seasonal worker, hired to reinforce the efforts around the holidays.
The company said he has since been fired and according to Harris County Sheriff's Office, he has been arrested and charged with theft.
Pretty sad that the man had to put the video on youtube for UPS to take action.
